Fiber Arts
I am so excited! My fiber artist studio idea is coming along! I am at a point where I have most of the materials and tools I need to create art! I am very excited and hopefully will get either a video made or photos posted soon!
I only lack a few tools now, a spinning wheel being the major one! I just got a bunch of merino and texture fibers ordered so can hopefully get some made in time for christmas! I do plan to put them into my etsy shop soon.
I am a bit sad my sister's shawl was lost before she got to enjoy it very much! I do have a few pics of it taken with my iphone but had planned to get a photo shoot done with my Sony A7S ii!! It was one I was very proud of and had planned to use for the custom option! I do have the pink one I made for my daughter to use still though.
I have a blending board and am creating some felt squares for a scarf with it. I am excited to see how it comes out! I really love how easy it is to create it since laying out the fibers takes so much time! Especially when you are doing very fine and thin layers! I am making an experimental one and have 2 squares completed so far. I think it will come out nice!
What is fun is I might offer to create these felt squares as part of a scarf kit instead of the usual silk scarf and rovings! An alternative method!
I will offer them as part of my next crowdfund to get my spinning wheel!
So exciting though! I really hope people give it a try. It is so fun to create it and see the beautiful results!

It never ends with them, always trying to justify themselves!
It is never something that happened a long time ago and now should be forgotten! It just happened up here in Alaska!
And seriously, there is an opinion piece in the local paper where some white guy is tired of having to deal with the guilt of it all... Columbus Day discussions, ugh! Columbus, a child rapist at the very least and it does not get much better from there...
If it is so very hard to deal with the guilt of "what happened" imagine how those feel who you actually did the deeds... your "war criminal feelings" vs real pain and real suffering and real damage done by Europeans.
There is no way around it, sorry.

- If you are living illegally (as in not in europe) then begin preparing for the migration back home! You came here with nothing, you can leave that same way!

Losing respect for westerners, little by little...
Losing respect, little by little...
It is hard to maintain respect for people when I see them ignore things that happen to the #indigenous yet highlight and promote things about westerners! #LasVegas being the most current thing...
It is so ingrained in the world to pretend that the indigenous do not exist! We are talking about half the world's people! A whole hemisphere! From north to south and each point in between!
Enough is enough! Westerners started with very little respect to begin with! We are talking microscopic amounts based on their actions and not the colors of their skin!
I see events that happen to #indigenous ignored and tell myself that it is only because their social media is meant for the one purpose only. but then something happens to a westerner and suddenly they post about it and ask for support, etc!
Do not pretend things have changed when the change is only words...
It is called "western fantasy", the myth that what they say is more true then reality! Trying to redefine "terrorist" to mean something other then one who creates terror so they do not have to label white people correctly is just absolutely insane!
Until you learn to honor and respect half the peoples of the world, this will continue to happen and get worse as you see happening! Pop that western fantasy bubble and face reality for once! It is ugly, but it is truth and needs to be faced. Your shame and guilt about it is what keeps it happening!
I honestly believe we are all People, believe in #Unity, but that does not give you permission to live illegally on #indigenous lands!
