Photo Session UAA With Jasmine
We had fun meeting a new model and working with her. I just wish my talent matched her beauty! It was fun to work all the models! We even had someone ask me for advice! :p
One of the models was the beautiful Jasmine.
This was on the bridge to another building. It was so bright outside it was hard to get good backgrounds! I loved the contrast of the plant against the snowy background, though in this one it is hard to tell…
This is the Pendulum in the library, had so many fingerprints on it, yikes!
On the bridge, so bright outside, hard to get a decent background but also such a pretty spot!

New Model
New Model
I had an exciting day, met and worked with a new model today!
PoshJassie on Model Mayhem
I forgot to bring a model release for her to sign so just including her Model Mayhem profile. But she is gorgeous and it was great to work with her! We got some great pics today and wore me out as I am fighting a cold but it was great!
It is weird, when we upgraded the Mac to Sierra the adobe products quit working! Last time I checked it was not fixed yet! How short sighted to release an update without making sure the softwares had time to become compatible!
So it might take me a bit to figure out how to do a workaround! I tried the suggestions I found and none worked yet. If we can't get it running again soon I will have no choice but to do it on my other computer, the gaming one :p Dont want to fill it up with pics and such since I want it to be all games :p Still playing Fallout 4, nearly to the end I think…
So really exhausted but today was a good day!
And for the Water Protectors too! Minor victory but not enough to warrant more then a quick relaxing breath!
What was really interesting to me was some guys watching us wanted advice on cameras! Made me smile!
So wish we had our shelter up and running too! Saw a native standing on the corner begging. Broke my heart! One day I will have a safe place for them to thrive and live! I had no money and was thinking to him how I wished I could do something for him and in my mind he motioned to his hands so I gave him my gloves. It was so cold out that I was glad to do something at least! But one day we will provide true shelter for them!
It truly feels so close! It has for awhile but soon! Positive good things are happening! I am glad it has turned for the better finally! Been a long hard road out of h*ll! Never give up on your dreams and it is never too late!

Graffiti / Digital Artist Dream…
Graffiti / Digital Artist Dream…
Man, I had such a real dream!!! I had finally gotten my studio and was working with a graphic artist who loved graffiti and shared my idea to turn it into living art!
It was so real though, the heat from the lights, the posing of my models, the crafting each pic!
We had a big space we were working in, against a black background and just beside it a little box that had the digital rendition. We started off with plain one color outfits for the models then he would do just a few graffiti lines then go digitize the rest of it.
Our challenge was to make it look "come to life" as I had the model do poses we had planned out beforehand! I could see his digital image right there as I worked and doing something like having her lean a bit forward would make it turn into an animal, or posing more to another direction would make it look like the art was popping out of the wall!
I wonder if it was sort of like that dance movie (I forget which one but maybe Step Up) where the museum art was taken over by The Mob. Except we created the art around the models.
We are all working so hard to get it done, on our last one and I kept telling myself I should write this down. I was confused telling myself I am nearly there! I kept saying I did not want to forget and that I would never forget this! Lol, then finally realizing I was just dreaming!
Half so disappointing but also half so exciting! Can you imagine if there is a digital artist somewhere who really loves graffiti too and finds this blog? Like creating our own destiny! I need to work to get my studio up and running, what is that saying? "build it and they will come!"
So, if you know a digital artist and like my work let them know about this dream so they can get started on their designs :p

Playing with Shadows
Playing with Shadows
One of the things I have always loved in photography is shadows. Something about them always interests me when I am looking at a photo. I was playing with the concept the other night. We use a back room as a studio and one of our lights with the white diffuser to cast soft light on them.
We took about a dozen photos but I will post 2 here for you. In this one I wanted to see if I could get the book shadow better. I had tried a few times but this came out the best for it. We had tried different angles, most with me more in front of her instead of off to the side as I am in this one. For props we decided to use the big stuffed dog that matched the carpet in that room. Hard to see in this pic but she has a big pink heart over one eye and a cute heart patch on her bottom. We wanted pinks to match her dress and the walls of the room.
One thing I noticed is when posing a model you need to be aware of shadows, especially on her face. A wrong shadow can make her face look dirty instead of "rembrandt light"… I think I will try that next, lighting their faces and seeing if we can create unique looks. They are very open to trying new things, even if they think it might look weird. lol, I am glad to have them working with me! Especially with their long hair, I absolutely love long hair. I think it is so beautiful.
Here I loved the way her dress created shades of shadows against the wall. It interested me a lot even though she thought it was weird to want to capture it like this. I had a cute one where she is looking over her shoulder trying to see what I was seeing, except it came out blurry.
I love my camera, Sony A7S ii, but it is sensitive and I feel like a monster button pusher at times when trying to take pictures. Lol, I think partly is I am using my other hand, I am left handed. So it pushes it harder at times when I am getting interested in how it is coming out. Plus I somehow push wrong buttons and change my settings accidentally, yikes! Twice now I changed it to where it would slowly take a pic and it would be so blurry and it took me guesswork to fix it! I will learn this camera and become it's master soon!
That reminds me, I took a cool one of shadows cast by a tree on a walk a while ago. I think I will try to film one and create a gif of it… gently moving shadows against the ground… I think they are magical, maybe taking me back to childhood where shadows held such magic and adventure!

Home Studio??!!
Home Studio??!!
We have been wanting to do an indoor shoot but do not have a studio space yet so used the living room… came out half okay I think… Lol, you can see my #SteveStevens button pinning the curtain closed in some I think…

Still using the same 2 models, I so hope someone else dares to try me sometime!! Not that I don't love these models, they are great!!

We do plan to get the videos filmed soon! I know it seems we are putting it off and that is only because I am growing out a haircut and feel my hair looks very goofy right now :p
But we should have some done and edited by the weekend!
I really encourage you to follow your dreams! It is never too late, you are never too old to begin!! Finally doing things I wish I had the courage to attempt ages ago!!

Photography is so fun!
I am enjoying my new Sony A7S ii camera!! I think we will be taking off with it soon! got the feel for the camera now and will begin doing more art shots!

I was thinking it is such a pretty spot but so much goose poop around that it is hard to get the models to agree to pose like I want. But got a few good shots. (I am growing out a haircut, so my hair looks a bit goofy :p )
