Systematic Re-indinization

Systematic Indiginization

part 1 of 1,000,000,000,000,000

We must use their own ways against them. It sounds weird to teach your peoples to not think but to respond and react, but we will use this to our advantage. Just as they made it so everywhere one of the westerners looked, genocide was a nice and normal thing to be doing, we will make it “indiginized”.

Decolonization

Even their words for it “decolonization” puts them in the middle of it, as if they are a force to be reckoned with. Like “declutter” means you have much clutter in the first place, it is already there. But in our sense, they threw the clutter to create a huge mess for us and want us to pretend this is somehow natural and normal to do.  We call that "rudeness".   But we will be systematic in our approach and change the words to our own. Instead of “decolonize” we will systematically re-indiginize this half of the world. To help start us out I will give some examples of phrases we need to weed out of our consciousness and introduce these new ones.

It never was “colonization”, it was always the war crime of genocide. The riches of half a world made them loose their minds. They had discovered Africa and thought they struck it rich. Not only the resources but the Peoples to use. Then it was the far east with the spices and silks that made them bonkers and “want more”. So when they saw our lands and how well we had taken care of them it drove them insane and the curse of greed came upon them.

They knew it was wrong.

They knew it was wrong to genocide a Peoples, but had discovered already that leaving the other cultures alive meant you could not profit as much as they wanted to. When we are talking the vast wealth of half a world, they decided there was no need to share. So, their laws forbade genocide and the fix was to name it something else entirely. They tried to teach us to use these words. Convincing their own kind that we did not really mind the genocide.

See how they call it colonization instead of genocide” was their flawed logic. It was enough to give those who were on the verge of sanity the push they needed to go insane.

It is why we must use the correct words: genocide and war crimes.

Walk in Two Worlds

This is a popular phrase and a prime example of how they try to word things to their advantage. Just listen to the phrase: walk in two worlds. It sounds somehow both mystical and magical. It is a sham, though, like all of their ways. It is meant to give an elevated meaning to the genocide they do. As if somehow they are in as Just and Good a "world" as we are.

Yet is it patently false. There is no good in genocide. It plays upon the #indigenous sense of everything having some worth. That you must respect another Peoples cultures even if you do not agree with them. But this does not apply to illegal activities, of which, war crimes against humanity are the worst.

They want to teach us to walk in both worlds, somehow making those few of us who do it “twice” as good as the rest. It is the divide and conquer game they love so much. Where they puff one ego up and up until it is so far from common sense that it gets lightheaded and dizzy. That is where they try to keep them, off balance. They forget that we have an innate sense of balance, it is the center of our world view. It is why one rarely “walks in two worlds” for long.

Racial Diversity

This is one where they are so insidious and sneaky, but basically dishonest too. It takes another indigenous world view concept and twists it into something unrecognizable. Hospitality and acceptance of other races is a normal part of our world views. As with all cultures, we center on our own otherwise we fade away to nothing. The genocide forced their “culture” on to us and made us accept all these foreign races as if belonging with us.

We have such a huge variety of cultures already that we need no foreign introduction to have racial diversity! What they really mean is they want us to be “polite” and step aside and let them shine a moment as a good host should. Except we are not hosting them, we are genocidal captives, and they are not welcome guests but an invading force meant to destroy us; not honor our "home and Peoples". There is obviously a huge difference that for some reason they expect us to just ignore.

They tried to set the stage so carefully these last few decades. They knew we grew tired of #european genocide so came up with the plan to hide behind other races they already brainwashed into thinking they (the europeans) were superior in all ways. It is hard to argue that treating others badly is somehow ok, so we are forced into silence. Our voices saying we demand justice drowned out by others.

It is why everywhere you look they highlight Africans. Africans suffering this indignity, Africans suffering that injustice, how wrong they are treated. But they agreed to be treated that way temporarily to gain a major stake of the riches of this half of the world.

We must take these brainwashed Peoples and remind them who they truly are. They have their own cultures that are rich and beautiful and their own Peoples who need them desperately to come fight for them.  Indians were also a major part of this too, due to british brainwashing they pretended not to notice the genocide and see only opportunity. We must remind them they also have a rich and diverse land with Peoples who need them there fighting for them as well.

We must systematically re-indignize our understanding of them.  They tried to make it either/or as in accept the genocide or you "hate" these other races.  I do not need to explain how ridiculous this is, just reading it you can instinctively understand this.

Conclusion

It is very easy to fall into this trap they set. Most westerners have without even realizing it. It is how sneaky and tricky it was. But now that we have shown how it was done, it is like a child fascinated by a magic trick until they learn how it was done, it is that easy to dispel.

You may have noticed I put part ___ of ___ in the title. It is a play on how the indigenous say what needs to be said then stop and go do something else. There are no other parts, this was just meant to get you thinking in the correct ways...

Pantry Shelf Day 2 or is it 3?

Lost track already of which day I am on... but I am enjoying the progress so far!

We first got the lumber weeks ago and the tools awhile ago too and it was me being afraid of trying something new I guess...

But watching Anna White really inspires me to just do it all that I think about!  So, I finally decided to go for it.  I had measured the area for the pantry shelves when I first got the lumber and again before I began cutting, but then the wasp thing happened...

Hehehe, so I took that rest of day off and began the next day fresh.  I managed to get a bunch cut but then realized I was doing the wrong measurement!

Oh man, so my plans called for the shelf to be 4 planks deep and I had measured that so each of them would need to be 4' long and instead I made them the other measurement  (the width not length)...  but decided those will become the brace for my shelves and cut new ones yesterday and today!

Woot, felt good not feeling defeated by it.  Before, I would have taken a week off to mend my ego but now I keep a positive mindset all the time!  Makes a huge difference because I can lift myself back up before I get all the way to the ground now!

It is so important to learn yourself and know the kinds of things that effect you so you can learn how to fix it.

But back to my amazing pantry shelves!  It is weird learning to use new tools that you think you already know just by watching others do it, whether your family or youtube but when you try it yourself it can be tricky.

My shelve measurements I used the carpenters square to draw the lines to make sure I was mostly level when the first screw went in.  The first 5 screws went in pretty ok, but then the 6th one just did not want to go into it at all.  I will try to figure out why but think it is just I need to pre-drill my holes.  Simple and effective solution that I probably should have started with!

I did take a pic of the empty space but will save it for the big "reveal" post...  though it wont be nearly as pretty as I plan it to be for a permanent one, this one is designed to be stand alone and while strong not glued so I can take it apart and redo it better when I learn more.

Just a quick update, progress is slow but steady!  I think it will be done by tomorrow and how exciting my shelve spacers were done by accident when I did the wrong measurements  :p  So, none wasted!

Hugs and take care and do wish me luck!!  And leaving you with a shot my Home:  Attu, Alaska

Pantry Shelf day 1

It started off very good!  I got it set up on the patio outside the back door and was working on the shelf while another was working on clearing out our shed and another was working on mowing the yard back there.  We like it to be half jungle looking but every once in awhile will mow just to keep trees from starting.

So, one was doing the shed, clearing out the stuff that we threw in there that we did not want to throw out yet but didn't have room for in the house.  We had decided to use it as our diy area for salves etc. that we wanted to be able to store undisturbed.

While I was learning how the Ryobi Circular Saw worked they began doing their own things back there too.  I managed to get the 2 12' boards cut in half to make the 6' supports for my shelves and was thrilled.  It was as easy as I had thought it would be once I got over my fear of the saw.

We had bought this combo tool kit and I was excited to begin using it!  Be warned the circular saw is 5 1/2" blade!

Photo: 18V ONE+™ 6 PC COMBO KIT

I brought out one of the boards I needed to make 3 cuts on but this one was thicker then my first boards and it gave me a bit of trouble.  At first I thought it was the mat I had them on.  I used my foam for making armor stuff, that puzzle stuff.  I thought maybe it does not like the material so decided to try to use a board underneath.

Except it did not seem to work with the thicker ones at all.  It would begin and then stop once it made about an inch long cut into the wood.  I was in the process of figuring it out when the one working on clearing out the shed yelped.  She was pulling out a big cardboard box we had stored in there and it contained either a bee nest or a wasp nest!  She got stung on her leg.  I decided I really did not want to be using a saw when there was a nest of angry bees so close(!!!) so called it a day and brought my stuff back inside...

As I was bringing my stuff in she decided to see if she could get the box out of the shed and off to the side except the bees decided No!  We all raced inside and have the people coming to remove it this Wednesday...

But I decided I needed bigger tools  :p

So I will be saving up for my new one:  a miter saw!  Those seemed as scary as a circular saw to me but I got over the fear of the saws and now want a miter!

So now I decided to try sawing them by hand so I can do it inside.  It is 4 boards with 3 cuts each so hopefully will not take me too long.  We do not plan to glue these together because we figure we will get better soon and be able to redo it strong and pretty.  My plan is just to screw them onto a board support, 4 of those underneath with the end 2 attaching to my support poles.  So, it will be strong now and later on we can make it both functional and gorgeous!

I don't really want to film or get pics of the process as I am so new at it that I doubt anyone could learn from it so far.  I hope to get a little shop area set up though!  Would love a nice craft room, curtained off area for the wood working, nuno felting table and storage of fibers, silk worm rearing, mushroom logs, just want to do it all!

Maybe if i can get enough views I can get Ryobi to send me a discount code to use at Home Depot  :P  worth a shot!  So, be a pal and share this with your friends and family...

Making my first shelf!

I am excited, we are making our first shelf this weekend!  We got the lumber from home depot about 2 weeks ago and have been planning and waiting for a good weekend to begin.

Following the measure twice, cut once rule I measured the area when the lumber first came and again just now.  Our measurements were barely off and I think that was just because the first one I just looked and this time I pressed the tape measure against the wall to see where it hit.

So tomorrow we plan to saw the wood and depending on how long it takes me to haul the lumber outside to cut and back inside, I might do the cutting tomorrow and assembly Sunday.

If you are planning to build some stuff and are looking for plans I highly recommend Anna White!

After the pantry we plan a long garage sort next then a greenhouse!

We may not get to the greenhouse until next Spring but we will see how ambitious I feel!  I think all will go well with the pantry.  That is my first step then the garage style shelving for a long indoor wall and a shorter one in another room with a blank wall.  If those go well I may decide to try something more complex to see how it goes then the greenhouse and maybe even build my own garage!

Marvel Movies and other weird conversations...

Marvel Movies and other weird conversations...

I was reading on social media where an indigenous lady was apologizing for not saying the characters in the movie "the Black Panther" were black in a blog post inspired by the movie, or that it was a "black story"...

That seems to me very weird in the first place because I do not expect reporters, mild mannered or otherwise, to comment that I am forgetting to mention them if I think about flying like Superman and write a blog about it...  We ARE talking about a comic turned movie and not a history of a People...

In the second place because it is time for trying to silence the indigenous to stop.

Seriously, just stop!

On our lands we are allowed to dream of life uninterupted.  No one has the right to say we must think of other races instead of our own!  Yet this actually is happening!

But in this post the lady said she had watched the movie and it filled her with awe, that idea of never being colonized, how modern tech mixed naturally with traditional methods because we are always told "our culture is holding us back" and how the sciences were advanced even beyond what we have today (I think, I have not seen the movie myself yet).  She mentions having read a tweet saying the guy never uses "in what is now Canada" but instead uses the phrase "what is currently Canada" to instill the idea this will change someday once the #indigenous take back control of their lands.

It got her dreaming and she wrote a blog post about it.  And some people convinced her this was somehow a rude and terrible thing to do...  she actually apologized for not saying that the movie had a black cast and was set in Africa...  This is ridiculous!!!   This is not like the tv show Roots that actually was a "black story" this is a comic turned movie like Avengers or Superman type of thing...  An escapist movie set in a fantastical world...to make you feel good and that there are heroes in the world.

So I commented that we #indigenous need never apologize for knowing these are solely indigenous lands!!   We need not include any other races when thinking of our history...

And this is where the trouble begins...  many races invaded these lands and never honored the indigenous peoples.

In fact, to live on these lands all you had to do was pretend the indigenous were invisible and you could steal their stuff all you wanted...  This "authority" was given by the psychotic european invaders.

Now if you honor the war criminals who stole our land instead of us, it means you side with the genocidal criminals.  Which makes you also a war criminal!

This is fact and not opinion.

I often say on social media that "Amerikkka" was built because they never honored the #indigneous...

Some try to use the excuse of those few "desperate to survive as a tribe ones" who did own slaves at one point to show the genocidal and psychotic european invaders that they could adapt...  But keep it in the proper context of "genocide"...   it is a huge deal and you can not ignore it!

yet many try to pretend it was not the genocide of 100 million peoples in an attempt to wipe us out but rather just a mild case of oppression that we were somehow too lazy and stupid to avoid...  huh??!!

That is 100% western fantasy!

Pop that bubble and face reality for once!

I am not kidding, this one lady actually said she does not care who imported them here and blamed the indigenous for enslaving them...  I had told her earlier that failure to accept truth when hearing it means you have an "agenda" and I would love to hear what hers was...  but she ignored truth and clung to her delusions that we traveled to Africa, grabbed some and forced them here to be slaves, 100% not true!  I can say with certainty that those 5 tribes had zero plans to travel to Africa but the europeans beat them to it...  it was not "inevitable"...  but that is what she wanted to believe instead of the truth because this allowed her to "hate and dismiss" the indigenous and not feel guilty for being on stolen lands...

I tried to say how sorry I was that this happened to her people at all and it never should have but she threw it back in my face...her loss...

Another lady tried to put her colonial words into my mouth by starting off "I think what she was trying to say was..." and using her words that were the opposite of what I was saying!  I told her I do not mean to be rude but I do not need anyone to speak for me, especially when they use their words instead of my own!

Man, indigenous sure have it hard when everyone who wants to stay on these lands has to try to keep you down and silenced!   Or try to write how we will get back our lands but including others as rightful owners too...  ummmm, no!

I will not be silenced!!!  Only fools refuse to listen and learn "truth"...  If you want to stay on these lands all you need do is find your local indigenous tribes (as wide travel was popular so an area probably has several tribes that call it home) and become their allies in a real way.  Not telling them they need to "share" or that they were evil for not thinking of black people instead of themselves!

lol, I know it is hard to understand that I am a strong supporter of #blm, I support all races and diversity but never them over indigenous on #indigenous lands!!   These are only indigenous lands!!!

But in the history of the comic genre it does create rabid fans so I am perfectly willing to pretend you did not mean anti-indigenous things and it was just a heat of the moment thing...

Genocide vs. Oppression

Genocide vs. Oppression

I was having a chat with someone who kept using "oppression" instead of "genocide" when speaking of #indigenous and explained these terms mean different things and are not interchangeable.  I asked him to please explain how we participated in our own genocide!  You can not compare what black people are going through here in Amerikkka with #indigenous.  I believe he blocked me!

It is black history month but do you think they will mention their part in the #indigenous genocide? (google buffalo soldiers to see what I mean)

Now there are even black people claiming we are "fake" and they are the real #indigenous...

These are #indigenous lands only!  It started when I responded to a post that said we indigenous need to stop "co opting" and using the hashtag "indigenous lives matter" because it is a blm one and using it is rude...

Now you can imagine how I felt about that...  I have even written an email to the blm movement explaining how they need to honor and respect the indigenous otherwise they will never get any sort of justice and was ignored.  But a lady on that post tried to imply that indigenous want "black labor" as if we brought them here in chains!!!  ugh!!!  I truly believe we are all One People and in #Unity but it must be based on truth and reality!!!!!!!

I explained that they chose to harm, steal and kill indigenous and allied themselves with the european invaders.  And they always try to start their history after this occurred and pretend they are victims here instead of conspirators...  Now I know it is not "all" but just as we call out #whitesilence we need to begin calling out #blacksilence too!!

I explained the #Indigenous owe African slaves and their descendants nothing but friendship and respect!  The guy who blocked me pointed out that #blm were at Standing Rock and I explained that it was half staged bs and should NEVER have happened in the first place.  It occurs because other minorities do not honor and respect #indigenous and that needs to change! (we already know the european war criminals do not!!)   When speaking of these lands it should be any one of the thousands and thousands of #indigenous tribes mentioned first and not any other race!!!   And those that put themselves first need to serious think what that says about them as a People!!

pic from a twitter post found on google images:

https://twitter.com/relombardo3

Anyway, please remember there is a difference between the words "genocide" and "oppression" and are not interchangeable and it was indigenous genocide!!!

Anyway,  Planning a photo shoot for a spring line of felting!!!  been busy and doing good and hope you are too!!

Losing respect for westerners, little by little...

Losing respect, little by little...

It is hard to maintain respect for people when I see them ignore things that happen to the #indigenous yet highlight and promote things about westerners!  #LasVegas being the most current thing...

It is so ingrained in the world to pretend that the indigenous do not exist!  We are talking about half the world's people!  A whole hemisphere!  From north to south and each point in between!

Enough is enough!  Westerners started with very little respect to begin with!  We are talking microscopic amounts based on their actions and not the colors of their skin!

I see events that happen to #indigenous ignored and tell myself that it is only because their social media is meant for the one purpose only.  but then something happens to a westerner and suddenly they post about it and ask for support, etc!

Do not pretend things have changed when the change is only words...

It is called "western fantasy", the myth that what they say is more true then reality!  Trying to redefine "terrorist" to mean something other then one who creates terror so they do not have to label white people correctly is just absolutely insane!

Until you learn to honor and respect half the peoples of the world, this will continue to happen and get worse as you see happening!  Pop that western fantasy bubble and face reality for once!  It is ugly, but it is truth and needs to be faced.  Your shame and guilt about it is what keeps it happening!

I honestly believe we are all People, believe in #Unity, but that does not give you permission to live illegally on #indigenous lands!

Stop the madness of pretending that half the People's on this earth dont exist!  Pretending events that happen to the #Indigenous dont happen by ignoring it is pretending we do not exist!  Just in case you try to pretend you do acknowledge us...

I am so tired of being told I am being insensitive to westerners about what happens to them when these same people ignore events that happen to us!   pointing out the hypocrisy is how we pop the western fantasy bubble!

Of course I feel bad for all those who lost their lives or were hurt but I do not place them above the suffering of anyone else as they do!  It is getting so they can not hide their psychotic traits anymore!  Pop the western fantasy bubble and seek help or this will always happen!  Now that white people are doing it to white people you might actually begin to care...  hypocrites!

Too many live illegally on indigenous lands! It is not ok!

An open letter to Chinese president Xi Jinping (and anyone else after our resources)

An open letter to Chinese president Xi Jinping (and anyone else after our resources)

I will give you the benefit of the doubt and believe you did not know that the people trying to sell you our resources are little more then war criminals!  It was with great dismay that I read this :

ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - Chinese president Xi Jinping landed in Anchorage on Friday to meet with Alaska Governor Bill Walker.
According to the governor’s office, the Chinese government requested the meeting last month.
Walker said in a press release, “I am honored to host President Xi and Madame Peng during their visit to Alaska. China is one of our largest trading partners, and I am eager to tell President Xi about the abundance of Alaska’s resource development opportunities. We have tremendous potential in our oil and gas, tourism, fish, air cargo and mineral resource industries.”
Xi arrived at Ted Steven’s Anchorage International Airport around 6:30 p.m. Friday. The meeting between Walker and Xi is expected to be joined by Lt. Governor Byron Mallott and more than a dozen Chinese ministers and directors.
This is the first meeting between the Chinese president and Walker.
Xi’s visit to Anchorage comes on the heels of his summit with president Trump in Florida. The Chinese president arrived at the president’s Mar-A-Lago resort on Thursday and wrapped up meetings with Trump Friday afternoon.
Topics between the two presidents behind doors were expected to surround trade issues, as well as North Korea’s nuclear weapons. According to the Washington Post, Trump told reporters near the end of the Chinese president’s visit, the two made “tremendous progress” in relations between China and the US.

As you can imagine, the gall of the war criminals eager to profit off of stolen resources is met with disgust by the indigenous of these lands!  They are eager to profit off of the land they pillaged, raped and murdered to obtain!  They do not have any right to these lands or the resources!  They are war criminals and nothing else.  Do not support them.
Do not support such things if you wish to have Honor!   As a Chinese I know you understand "honor" in a way the westerners never can or will.  It is not empty words but something much more meaningful.  They are lost, are you too?   There is still time to change.  I encourage you to think and decide the kind of person you are or it will be decided for you.

The War Criminals never Stop trying!!!!

I could not believe it when I got this email:

Some of you in the Anchorage area might be interested in this course that I will teach at UAA in the fall 2017 semester:

Anthropology 436: Aleut Adaptations
3 credits (undergraduate)
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1:00-2:15 p.m.
(First day of class is Tuesday, August 29, 2017)
Beatrice McDonald Hall, Room 119

This course covers the entire human history of the Aleut/Unangax region, from its initial occupation thousands of years ago to the present day.  Topics covered include the first peopling of the islands, the relationships of Aleuts/Unangax to other Alaska Native peoples, pre-Russian cultural adaptations, the Russian and American colonial periods, the history of the Pribilof Islands and the fur seal industry, and issues of importance in the region today.

The nerve of them!!!!    My entire history?  Really??!!   As if they could know it!  But here is my response to him:

Hello Doug,

what a claim, the entire human history of a peoples?  Please explain how you can dare to claim such a thing!

"from it's initial occupation thousands of years ago", uh huh and let me guess, Norwegians were the first real occupants or some such bs like that??

I object to you "teaching" my history like this and as if it is the final say.  I want it amended to read "as imagined by white war criminals wanting to control all the natural resources of the area"

What gall and nerve!!!   Whatever you say and teach does not mean it is the truth!  Please keep that in mind when you are talking of real people and their culture.  People who are alive and upset at our gall!!

thanks,

Please write him and tell him this sort of thing must stop!  Please write him and ask his sources, etc. to make such an outrageous claim as this!!

We are not mindless sheep to be led to slaughter like this!  The war criminals steal how many billions a year of our natural resources??!!   They want us to believe we are insignificant and "simple" peoples or some such nonsense!   The nerve of them, but it has always been like that up here, the westerners thinking they can do whatever they want and no one will care.  You may recall the chants of "drill, baby, drill" when they were trying to turn whatshername palin into a political star…

and now with Trump as their president… they dare to put this class as if it were real and validated and truth and not their wishful thinking of greedy disgusting war criminals!!  I am sure the nazis wrote many such articles too!!  The good peoples of the world do listen and care.  They want us separated and divided and are terrified one of you might actually read this and write him about it!

The one thing about our peoples is we have been here since Time Immemorial and will be here always.  It is our Home!  War criminals see it's riches and rape the lands savagely and brutally.

I am Unangan from Attu, Alaska.  I am not ashamed of my peoples or history or culture!  This course is a sham and they should be ashamed for trying to pass it off as historical truth!!

War criminals will never stop until we make them stop!  We do this by challenging them when they try stupid things like this!  Please pick up your phone or sent an email asking his sources and how he dares to make such a claim as 'the entire history of a peoples'!!!!

Fiber Processing

Fiber Processing

I wonder if I will get any takers…  I placed a classified ad for fiber processing in an Alaskan Native newspaper online.

Fiber processing ad

Lol, I am so willing to work for fiber at this point in my fiber artist life!  Pictured is the Navaho Churro I got from a lady who had moved up here with it but found she had no time to do it so sold it to me.  It was a great haul of 5 garbage bags full of wool!  It was fleeces from many different navaho churro and a few mixed or second cuts that she got for free to play around with.  I am currently drying some tunis/east friesian (spelling??) cross second cuts and plan to work them into a batt once I get a drum carder!  Or I might not have the patience and try to hand card them!  I think the second cuts will be ok for felting, maybe as decoration instead of main material...

Navaho churro washed and drying on rack

I am trying to get the film stuff together for this summer but so love felting and playing with wool!  I am expecting my 16 pounds of unwashed merino fleeces to arrive by this weekend!  I look forward to showing it before and after the washing!  I am not sure if I will try to hand card it or wait a bit.  I guess it depends on if I get any takers who need their fiber processed for them.  I am hoping there are a lot of people who love fiber but don't have the time to process  it themselves and need someone who believes in quality and loves fiber!

It feels like time is flying by!  where are the weeks going?  I guess I get lost in trying to hand card the navaho churro and other stuff that I lose track of days!  But this month has flown by so fast I think I am in a time warp!  You ever feel like that?

But I plan to try to get some lanolin from the merino that is coming soon!  last time I was too impatient to wait for it to separate and float to the top  :p  But this time I plan to do it and film bits and pieces of it for a BTS episode on my channel!

If only I had been born rich!!  :p   Love you all and please take care of yourself and each other!

hugs,

Felt Inspirations

Felt Inspirations

There are so many amazing fiber artists out there!  I hope to get something going as a co-op for the alaskan #indigenous, imagine being able to stay in your village, live as you want and make $$$$!!!  Not that it is about the money, at least not until 'America' came and took over…  So now we are forced to change our lifestyles and driven out of our villages so they can more easily steal our natural resources…  We need to stop that and turn the tide back!

I plan to do my part, I hope to get my first feature film out this summer!  It is on schedule and is a low budget one and I will soon be holding auditions for it…  but mainly the idea is to show we can do a film, start to finish!  Hopefully that gets us some recognition and some funding so we can begin working with bigger groups of indigenous.  If they are not into film and acting, there is costuming, set building, etc.  If that does not interest them there is the crafting/felting to learn and do!

I am planning to get some merino sheep this next summer!  this summer we are buying some land in Kenai Peninsula area.  If I cant interest an #indigenous corporation to let us lease their land for grazing then we will start small and buy our own plot!

But it is easy to get inspired by it.  It is "traditional" skills updated to modern tastes!  Using the same sort of techniques but changing the design or adding labor saving tools.

I watched this video and just think it will help explain my desire to get us our own sheep/goats/alpacas/musk oxen!!!!

Maybe once we get better established we can work with this group to learn skills!  Ladies from Peru keeping knowledge and skills alive, so inspiring!  Either send some down to learn or bring some up to teach :p

I hope to get an outfit completed in time to enter the local spinners guild fashion show!  it will be fun to try!  I went to my first meeting and really liked it, I plan to get more involved, but been so busy trying to get all this stuff done!  I made some wrist warmers today, my "post apocalyptic" ones are almost dry and I will get pics of them.  I made some today for my daughter.  I used some left over merino from other projects and used them as the base layer then over that I did stripes of navaho churro, Cheviot, and alpaca.  They are drying but I will get pics of them up sometime.  I think they came out cute!  I remembered to do the pattern the right way so it came out even when cut in half  :p

But I think my "Post Apocalypse" outfit will be good!  I love the dark purples and blacks of it!  I ordered some more merino that had purples and black and one with more black and greys to make the rest of it.   I plan to dye some of the merino I am getting from Australia black.  It might not get here until the end of the month though, but here's hoping the flight connections work and it comes quick!  I ordered some merino yarn (a bulk purchase from a person who is trying to help make it affordable to fiber artists:  poundOwool on Etsy   I ordered his pound of sport weight yarn since one of my daughters is getting into crochet, got a pound of her and one for me  :p   With mine I plan to make the top of it, creating a criss cross pattern and using some roving to cover it but I think it will help create the shape and keep it's form better using the yarn.

I am so excited, ever feel your life is finally on the right path?  that you finally found what you were always meant to do?  I am so glad I got the courage to go for my dreams!  It is easy to remain too timid after a lifetime of abuse, but you need to let all that go and decide to thrive not just survive!!  the courage of it seems so impossible to muster but one big push and you are free!  and then free to do what you like!  It wont be easy, fighting the bad thoughts and feelings that do not disappear overnight, though you wish they would!  but it is such a great feeling to get away from the bad and work toward the good!

go for your dreams!  it is worth the risk and the hard work and all the sweat and tears and drive!

Sigh, they will never stop stealing from us…

Sigh, they will never stop stealing from us…

It is hard to like any Westerner when it never ever stops, this stealing of our stuff…

Corrupt and vicious are 2 of the politest words to use to describe them…  It seems like they will never stop but that is only because you 30-40 million "good" westerners do nothing to stop it…

They created the national parks to steal control of our lands from us and they created "refuges" to protect it for us but all it did was take our say about what happens on our lands away…  They are nothing but vicious war criminals and you dear Europe need to call all your people back!!  To all those who already support #indigenous rule, thank you!  it matters!  It matter so much!  Now we need the rest of your kind to follow in your footsteps!  Please help us educate them to see reality and not western fantasy!  it is not harmless what is happening all over the world, it is vicious and cruel and you benefit from it not us!!  but it can stop!

Stand Up Now or forever wish you had!

Stand Up Now or forever wish you had!

Such a crazy time we live in!  Trump acting like he is king or something and can bypass the constitution..  just a continuation of the colonizing "bs" that has been going on for hundreds of years…

Watch this video where they call for you to come and put your life on the line for the Earth.  We have no choice anymore!  We are not afraid and we will not back down.

If you are wondering how to send prayers of strength and love and healing, it is not hard at all.  I will give a simple example and you can use that to figure out what feels right for you…

  • Find a quiet room where you can be by yourself if possible… if not find a quiet spot where you wont be interrupted too much.

  • Does not need to be in darkness, I think it just makes it less distracting so if you prefer to sit with lights on, no worries!

  • Silence or soft music, either way will work really…  some dont like silence so some soft music in the background will help you to relax and find your center…

  • Quiet yourself, that is hard for some people at first.  We are used to thinking, planning, keeping ourselves amused with thoughts, whatever, so turning that all off can be hard at first.  Getting to a quiet place in your mind/spirit is what some call finding your center.

  • For meditation you would try to keep this state as long as possible but for sending prayers it is ok to begin thinking of them now…

  • some simple thoughts to send:
  • "please help those who need strength be strong"
  • "please help those who need healing to heal"
  • please help those defending our Mother"

  • or just think like a chant:  "love, strength, defend our mother"

That is just the very basics and you can find local indigenous to teach you how they do it…  it matters more that you do it then how you do it!!

I believe we are all One People, but that does not mean I tolerate the murder, rape and theft of our lands, our people or our resources.  It is wrong, period.  If you are Western then it is maybe time to think of moving back to your own Home.  You may find you love it there and will be glad you did.  If you truly do not want to leave, find your local indigenous tribes and ask what to do if you want to stay.  Just try to remember that you are the product of the psychotic murderers who came here long ago and not our "gods" like you read in the fake history text books and mot important of all is that you were not invited by us (well, most were not, some were)…  So keep that in mind when asking what to do to stay, it is not your right or privilege, you need to see the local indigenous as the rightful rulers of the lands...

They tried to teach you to be afraid of Death, but it is no more scary then going to sleep at night.  While it is true, some do fear that, it is normal and natural for most of us and nothing to fear.

What we need to fear is the crazy idea that we can continue to destroy the world we live in.  There are psychotic men who would rather destroy it if they can not own it.  We need to stand strong and together in the face of such insanity!  We need to give strength to those who believe like we do but fear what will happen if they say it out loud.

It is one reason I am so wanting to create Art, to bring much needed beauty into the world!  I cant seem to get support for that but what I can and will do no matter what is send out strength, healing, love and hugs to all those who need it.  While we all wish we could do more, we need to keep the Earth in our prayers and thoughts and find the will to become willing to die to defend her, because it has come to that, sadly!

Now is the time to get to Standing Rock and put your very life on the line for Mother Earth.  If like me, you can not get there in person, be there in spirit!  It matters and is real and "counts" to send prayers and good thoughts if we can not get there in person.

love and hugs to all those who need them!

Cutest Dream Ever!

Oh man, I had the most adorable dream in a long time!  I have been feeling so positive and hopeful lately, like life might actually get better!  I am cheerful is one way of describing it.

I am interested in opening a fiber art studio (kickstarter thingy) and have been watching videos and found myself at a felt rug making one.  It was impressive.  a sweet older man plying his craft and you can feel the love!

At about 10:04 he begins to walk on the rolled up rug to help felt and full it and it is adorable!   It made me want to clap a rhythm to his walking on it!  It is true that you are never too old to do what you love and follow your dreams!

But that night I had the most amazing dream.  I was the sorceress of my tribe, newly appointed and I was creating a prayer rug sort of thing.  Instead of walking on it like he did though, I did Goddess Yoga.  Not even sure if that is a real thing or if I just made it up in my dream…  but I was doing a sort of handstand with just my fingertips walking along the rug as we went across the room and back and forth.  I did an incredible backward stretch where my knees did the walking as I was folded back stretched to the max.  I did some twirls like an acrobat even.  It was deeply spiritual too, not just fun stretching.  The Goddess and I were doing it together, she teaching me and me eager to learn and serve.  But that is how I became the sorceress.

I am happy though, I can see several costumes using the felting methods!!  I think my 4 pounds of fiber that are coming soon will be gone in a few days!  I know I want to try it all!  I will definitely card it all first.  It is 2 pounds of tunis/shetland blend and 2 pounds of wool~though not sure which kind that comes with the handcarders.

I was hoping my felt bookmarks that I added will catch on and I can meet the kickstarter goal.  But if not I will do one for just fiber, like $300 or something like that to begin creating it all.

I think the bookmarks will come out beautiful as I have the perfect fabric to use for it!  I will make a few to show what they will look like when it gets here.  It is still processing so hopefully it will come by Friday!  I am too impatient and want it yesterday  :p

The best news is I will have samples to show for my next attempt at it.  I will ask for less this time, enough for a good sampling of fibers to unleash my creativity!  So the next kickstarter will be even better!

But in my good mood I applied for some grants to try to create a fiber farm to go along with the fiber studio!  I also applied for a documentary grant so please spread the word around how you would love to see a documentary about Attu Island done my an actual member!  :p  lol, I am not sure if they will look more then a few seconds at them but at least I applied!  The second one, the film one, is a sort of "play" of a woman from Attu trying to stop her tribe's erasure!  I am also applying for an individual award grant from the Rasmusson Foundation!

But grant searching is so often a roller coaster, too many good causes and not enough $$ to go around.  I wont get my hopes up to high.  I feel hopeful though and that is a good feeling!

I hope you are going for your dreams!

hugs,

Woot, ordered hand carders and joined the local guild!

Woot, ordered hand carders and joined the local guild!

I am excited!  I ordered some hand carders and wool from The Woolery and also joined the Anchorage Spinners and Weavers Guild!

I ordered the Hand Carding Kit that comes with 1 set of oil finished 8" wool carders 72 TPI, 2lbs of raw fleece, and the BOOK "Ashford Book of Carding".

I also ordered some I saw on clearance, 2 pound Batt of Tunis / Shetland wool!

While my fiber Art Studio Kickstarter Campaign is going nowhere, I am getting there bit by bit!

We can rent equipment from the local guild, so I will be able to rent one by the end of the month I think!  :p  So I can practice and by the time I can afford my own I will be able to spin good yarn!

I really hope the kickstarter takes off but all I get is the "marketing" people and I am not interested in that…  so think it will fail but at least I got some good practice for it.  All that means is that the Attu Series will cost a lot more  :p  Plus I dont mind keeping them to myself if it comes to that!

One thing I can do it break it down into smaller pieces even!  I can try one for $800 for the spinning wheel alone and hopefully find one locally that is used and cheap!  hehe…  but who knows, maybe everyone is waiting until the last moment  :p 8 more days of nerves and hopes and sighs!  :p

I love being a dreamer and picturing things coming easy but am used to working hard for it, so it is win win for me.  I think as long as you are realistic and practical it is really good to dream!  I think it is partly why I write!

I hope you are going for your dreams!  It will take time and hard work but so so so worth it!

hugs and love,
