Hard to sleep….
Hard to sleep….
I can't seem to fall asleep now that I woke up to get a drink of water… so worried about the indigenous everywhere! I was watching a video earlier about some crazy white people in the Dakotas… They were harassing some indigenous guy…
It seemed like they were implying that because he was sleeping in a motel that it somehow meant he was not "real" indigenous or some such nonsense… I am not at the camp either yet consider myself as "one" with them! Our spirits are more then this physical body, remember!
But then super freaky white guy in a mask began yelling at him! I hate to mention it, but it is kind of how white people seem, totally insane just under the surface… Like that funny line in Big Bang Theory where Leonard is telling Penny not to get into it with Sheldon since he is one lab accident away from becoming a super villain… only this is not funny at all… I know white people always say not to tar them with the same brush but… it is called a parasitic relationship when you are here because the crazy ones are here to 'tame" the indigenous for you so you can pretend to be decent and kind…
Lol, yes, I am in a "mood" about it… It is one of my series I am planning for my Youtube channel, lol… where we poke fun at it… I think honest talk can't happen until we can get past the "blame" thing… You know you are in the wrong 100% yet you do not leave these lands… the hypocrisy of it keeps me up at night and makes me want to highlight in a comical way so we can get some real talk done!
I guess it was seeing #whiteprivilege in action that got me fretting! One of my favorite channels is The Vegan Zombie, 2 guys who do vegan recipes and stuff. I loved how he went to the camp, made me so proud about subscribing to their channel… but then this last video is them on a cruise… See, white privilege is where you can "forget" about all the evil that white people are doing to the world… Do not get me wrong, I do not envy them enjoying themselves, they are young and trying to live a good lifestyle! I can see where a vacation is not an 'evil' thing! But… While white people are enjoying their privilege, indigenous are facing weird stuff like this:
We do not need to be 100% perfect! The guy at the beginning seemed to be implying that about the indigneous guy… We are not "plaster saints" where it is all fake and phony and for show, we are real! We have faults, we have weaknesses but we support each other so those weaknesses do not harm us or others!
What makes me fret is how it is like cockroaches, for every 1 you see there are dozens more hiding! So, we see this 1 #indigenous being harassed, but how many are being treated like this or worse and not caught on film?
See, we are 1 people, I know that truly but… The reason this is happening IS because you are living here dear Westerner!! Most indigenous are too polite to mention how you have sort of overstayed your "welcome", if that is even close to being the right word for it!
I can not wait until the day these lands are back under indigenous rule! can you imagine? After hundreds of years of insanity, so much hard work to restore the balance… lol, I think I wrote that in a blog over at World Pulse (where I wrote as Maria de Chirikof) how much fun it would be for you all to leave and let us restore these lands then you can "enjoy re-discovering us" again… :p
It is a part of a thing in my BOS horror trilogy where my character (who only ever calls on the phone) has all these crazy suggestions and ideas to get the westerners to leave these lands willingly… :p The Council of Woman are meeting and I call and the lady writes my suggestion down on the chalk board, the lady puts down the chalk and they all stare at the idea motionless for a moment, letting the idea sort of sink in like "huh, I wonder…" lol…
Oh man, cheering myself back up thinking of the films!! Woot, I am so close to getting stuff posted! I still have not figured out Final Cut Pro (partly because I haven't been practicing it :p ) and will try premiere pro a bit longer… I think I will like Final Cut Pro once I begin using it regularly though! I hated Premiere Pro at first too when I was learning it! :p
Things are going very well, if very slowly, in the right direction finally. I am still amazed at how good life is becoming! Remember, in Alaska the horror of it all just happened to us so bouncing back!! It happened to my mother and I got to "enjoy" the ugly American experience growing up! Now they try to pretend that never happened and why are we having such trouble living a "normal" life…
But things are going well now for me! I am happy about it, was so depressed for so many years, these ideas keeping me sane. Until I fought back hard enough to break free! Finally daring to go for my dreams of being a writer/director/producer!!
My first one is called "The Forever Fear" and is a short short :p hehehe, seriously, I think it will time out at under 2 minutes! I decided to start simple and set the right mood! But it is one I plan to use to show my skill developing over time! It will be basic but as I learn and make the props and learn the Vfx it will be redone and compared to the original idea… half as a way to encourage everyone to go for it and not wait until you can do it perfect the first time! We are practicing it to make it come out like I want it too… it is short but I don't think it matters so much as it is a complete idea!
i think I already mentioned meeting a new model even! I was excited and so nervous! But it turned out well and I hope to work with her again soon!
Ohhh, thanks for letting me fret and fro! Hmmm, did I actually "fro"?? is that the right word even? what is that line "fret and _____"
Please remember the indigenous in your prayers as you are in ours too!
hugs,
