Seaweed Game Demo

So excited!  I finished my first game demo!  I wanted to show my style and get hints and tips for the finished game.

I am using the RPG Maker MV for it.  I find the engine very easy to use and the community is great!  You can find me there on the forums:

I need to polish it a bit and add in the quests but this gives you a chance to wander a bit and hopefully get you interested in purchasing the game itself!

 While this is my first game I am actually making, I have several designed games for when I learn how to create them.  This one is not as in depth as those but for a first game it will be fun as the demo is over half an hour of wandering and discovering the girls' personalities.

The party is 4 girls who do not know each other, 3 are the same age and one is noticeably younger.  You can explore your village a bit but then you need to go north to get the rest of your party.

Positivity!

I hope everyone is doing good!  I am feeling very excited and nervous, I am about to have my second booth for selling my felted items!  I find it so hard sometimes, having confidence in myself...

I work hard at it and have prepared some wearable art for my booth.  I still dream of getting a fashion line ready.  I can see it in my head and feel so ready to go for it.

It is a good feeling and one I hope everyone reading this feels too.  It is not enough to have passion and artistic vision, you need to not only create but put yourself "out there" so others can experience it too...   

I am working on a photoshoot so hopefully can post some photos of my latest items soon!

Until then, I just wanted to send out good feelings into the world, know you can do it, whatever "it" means to you!

Millionaire philanthropist needed!!

 Hello all,

It is late night here and my mind has wandered into the goofy area and I decided to share it with you.  I was thinking how wonderful it would be if we could somehow capture the interest of a millionaire philanthropist who is searching for a good cause to support.

 It is a weird feeling to think you could change the world for the better if only you had the resources!

I have a grand vision and working toward it slowly but surely and think how incredible it would be with some real help.  The stress of real life, you know things like surviving the ongoing genocide, how do we get people to acknowledge it is even happening and so on, makes the creative process a bit slow going.

I am a Batman fan and that got me thinking of someone with too much money and looking for a decent way to use it finding my blog and dreams.  I do believe in goodness and that good attracts more good.  I also think the ongoing genocide makes it very hard to feel the "good" in the world.  Which makes it hard to attract "good" and "decent" when there is a lot of anger mixed in daily life.  I don't mean just for me, but for this whole half of the world! 

Currently I am working on creating a fashion line with the fiber arts and specifically nuno felting being my medium.  When the raw fleece costs so much just for that and not including the merino or decoration materials, it is prohibitive. 

I am very lucky and have a supportive family who have helped me build up my fiber art tools over these years and I am ready to move to the next level.  I plan to sell some at a  craft booth and build up a following and earn some money to buy more fibers, everything is in place.  The big dream is to create a complete line of outfits, accessories and jewelry and present it in a simulated fashion show.

After that I want to begin holding workshops to teach the art and help other #indigenous because it is so expensive to try it out. Lol, I will do this on my own but if you have extra millions lying around and wonder what to do with it...  :p

It is called "genocide"

I get so frustrated seeing many Africans pretending to be the real #indigenous and that we are what they call "$5 Indians"....

I think the major problem is how they refuse to see it as "genocide"...

This article here by an educated African woman calls it "colonialism" instead of genocide and wonders why there is tension between the #indigenous and the Africans!

Dear #Africans, this is not "hate" towards your people at all!   This about our fighting for our own lands and our rights to rule our lands! 

Pretending the genocidal regime known as "america" has any validity is one of the main sources of "tension" mentioned in her article below...  remember, we first met your People when you were raping, torturing and destroying us and our villages along with your european allies/masters/whatever you call it! 

Do I need to explain that genocide is not the basis for friendship????!!!!!!

We have long beautiful histories, majestic, heroic, beautiful and some tragic too, we never need mention europeans or Africans as part of it!   Trying to write yourselves into our history by force is called genocide!!

Being on these lands and refusing to leave is part of our ongoing genocide!!  The #indigenous never went to your lands to capture you from your villages, that was Africans!!!!   We never shipped you to these lands to help murder the rightful rulers, that was europeans!!  Yet you pretend we have no say in our lands and give authority to these europeans because they give you an "excuse" to remain on these #indigenous lands!

But it is part of the ongoing genocide that Africans and Europeans pretend is not even happening as they destroy these lands and brutally rape the people and the resources!!!

Start an honest relationship with the #indigenous by calling it "genocide" and figuring out how much "reparations" you owe to those of these lands for your part in the genocide!!  If you can not do this then the only decent alternative is to go back to you own Homeland or to Europe to fight for reparations from them who harmed you for it was not us! 

I know they love to bring up the "5 civilized tribes" as an excuse to dishonor us so but the context is genocide!

The 100,000,000 million does not include many millions harmed and/or killed since then???!!!

 

What is being done about the childten in cages that everyone pretends they do not know about???!!!  this is genocide happening right in front of your eyes and you do not care! 

It is time to stop asking for a bigger piece of the genocidal pie and instead help stop the ongoing genocide!! 

I honestly and truly believe we are all One People but that does not make genocide in any way, shape or form "ok"!!!!!

Luther tv show

Luther is a tv show that started out so promising but fell apart by season 2!  It is a black, intelligent, police officer who lives by real life rules rather then paper ones.  It made it interesting to watch.

The first case hooked you and you had to see where it would take us next.  The main villain was interesting and looked like she could be Liv Tylers sister or daughter.  She made the character interesting, just enough creep to go with her beauty. 

The new young partner is what we hope all cops will be like!  Intelligent and loyal and dedicated.  The boss lady started out very good but then they wrote her awful and she goes sort of crazy but I blame that on the British system in general and how it treats woman. 

His wife/ex wife is an interesting mix and shows the depths that love has.  While you can love someone to death you just cant be with them, so believable.  She played the part very well and we all rooted for her, whichever she decides to choose. 

Her lover looked weak in the face and I am not sure if she chose him for that reason, something totally different then her husband.  Not as intense, someone to be there each night.  

John Luther is an interesting character who showed us how hard it is to be so good at the job that you lose a lot.  He develops a strange relationship with the main villain, Alice.  I do not think they trust each other but something resonates between them, not chemistry exactly but more like static charge. 

The cases are believable but, as is the trend, it began to get "edgy".  I hate that so much, when they ruin a good show with that bs!  I know there is pain involved in the death of the people, but I have zero interest in seeing or hearing it happen!  That is a distinctly British thing, defining them as a nation where pain and humiliation for woman is a common theme.  But the show does do stupid choices to move the plot along.

I think it is sad when they need to show bad choices to get the plot where they want it to be.  I say hire a better writer!  The crack tactical squad rushes into a building without even checking for traps!  I doubt that would happen in real life yet they wrote it like that.  I guess to show their eagerness to catch a cop killer. 

It is weird because his wife is his source of strength and frustration and can anger him like no one else.  She naturally chooses the other guy who is there for her though we know she loves Luther deeply and truly.  Her boyfriend knows it too.  It makes for an interesting personal life except they cut it off by the end of season 1.

His wife dies and his lady cop boss goes insane trying to harm him after fighting for him for so long.  It is not believable and I think written to make the young partner's loyalty stand out.  But it ruined the show for me.  Not only does 2 of the 3 females in the show go away but the super creepy white guy is now his boss.  The case is super disgusting too, and I turned it off never to watch the show again.  A young girl is dragged into the sadistic world of drugs and porn for white man's pleasure and put on the web for other white men to enjoy.  Super disgusting but fits with how they actually are.  I am from Alaska and we have too many of them here illegally stealing or resources (committing war crimes brazenly and trusting to greed to win the day for them).

So I say don't bother past season 1 if decency matters to you!  I see it has gone for many more seasons, which does not surprise me as they take a show you like then ruin it with their tricks to make you desensitized and idiotic.  Lol, no, I do not like countries who brazenly commit war crimes like the British/ Europeans do.  While their tv shows can be interesting it often gets ruined for me.  I may look up the show again in a few years and read the plots for later seasons but doubt I will watch any more of it now...  Choices have consequences and they lost me... 

Dark Matter Reboot needed!

Lol, I like the show but think it needs to be redone!  It is a very good sci fi show but went "wrong" ~ lol, meaning I would have done it differently!  I would place the reboot just after the first season, pretending the rest did not happen! 

I would get rid of One and Six first off.  One would be killed by the real Jase Corso and the crew would get their revenge and kill him.  Since they think his base is destroyed it would become their secret hideaway, plus he has the stash of cash and stuff hidden so they have a source of income.  So People coming to check will see the rubble and go away and they will have a safe hideaway that they try to stay away from to save it for emergencies.

Six would die nobly as it seems he wants to, saving his crew!  He would learn he is really an undercover cop and not want to harm his crew when it comes right down to it.  So at last minute when the GA gets there he realizes he makes a mistake and somehow destroys the shuttle coming to get them.

For Four, I would have him want his throne back but when he sneaks back to the palace and sees all the back stabbing and petty power plays he decides he does not want it after all.  He helps clean up the people for his brother and gives him the throne honorably so there is not question his brother is the ruler.  He gets his one friend out of jail to help guide his brother and I would make the crazy guard girl instead find honor in the younger brother after all so can support him.


So the android befriends a younger android who escaped and had been created as an entertainment one but wants to be taken seriously and learn skills so joins the crew to learn the basics.  I would have her be from the Ishida palace even!  She has the personality upgrade too and is a friend to the young Five and helps teach her more tech skills.

Three always remains and is loyal to Two but resists falling in love with her for fear it would make him lose his edge and be caught off guard.  He confesses it to Sarah, who is now an android and a leader of the android rebellion. They agree it can become a secret weapon if needed as they will do whatever it takes to save the androids.   He secretly funds an orphanage because of what happened to him and later on it becomes known and they need to race to save it...

Five becomes much better at the fighting with skills taught by Four and Two.  She discovers she has a talent for spying as she can figure out bs faster then average and everyone thinks it is because her subconscious is full of their memories of piracy, thieving, etc.  She still hates killing and is learning to deal with it.  She discovers lots of stuff stowed around the ship they had forgotten about with bits and pieces of their old lives or stashed seeds from a raid, things like that to keep them afloat. 

I would have Nyx stow away and join the crew that way, they are never jailed in this version.  She is also part of the reason Four gives up his throne because he does not want to lose her. She is a valuable fighter to them. 


I would have them do a mix of corporate stuff and save the poor stuff.  When they need to run to the outer colonies for things to cool off for them they do a lot of "good works" to honor the memory of One.  It also makes Five happy because she always has a bit of a problem with the killing part, but finds out she is a good spy.  So we can have her go undercover at some place to find to the truth about it before deciding whether to take on the case.

I would build up the android rebellion slower, with the Raza allies.  Sarah is an android now but stays with the lady dr. to help plan the rebellion since she is unique having an actual human mind.  She realizes she has lost Three when she sees him rescue Two and even though he tries to hide it from her she understands it is his personality.  They are friends and trust each other so can play up the enemy angle when needed to help the android rebellion...  But it happens slowly, with the upgrades adding bits of code to be activated on "A Day to Remember", a joke to the crew having lost their memories ...

We can have them remember bits of their lives in dreams as they begin to take on more of the traits they had before.  So each job pulled helps a bit of their memories, a good excuse to do them since they remain themselves but we get backstories.

With the alien invasion they learn how to cure the people by the stasis pod thing they had done with Three.  They are working on a cure and the androids cant be infected so the Raza has a special chamber created to "fumigate" the crew when needed  :p


I love the show a lot and hated how it went.  It went too epic too fast and had no where to go.  I think they find the blink drive but every so often get taken to the other dimension or into Time.  It is how they are still the scary lizard people even though they are now different people from before.  The tech they find helps keep their edge.

Starting off 2019 at full speed

 I have been busy behind the scenes and doing a quick update.


S'Happens
I hope to have the storyboards for S'Happens done soon and plan to get a team together just before I plan the shoot.  I am also turning what was going to be a sort of short series into a full fledged sequel now.  I think it will work better that way now that I have been getting several episodes completed.  It fits better as a movie now.

 Unreal engine
I am having a great time learning the Unreal engine, very new at it still.  I love the endless possibilities it has as I get better and better at the engine!  I am working on a sort of mini game to start of what I hope to be a major one later on.  It will be so great to learn this as it is so versatile and will help me in a lot of my projects!  I hope to create a game that has enough play time in it to interest people in the "real" version of it!  I think it will be so fun!

RPG Maker 
This one creates tile type games but the unreal engine can also do this so I might just go that route.  But I did get it to create a few games in the 2D style.  We got it because it is supposed to be easy to create and finish a game and we wanted to get one done to show the type of games we will be making and maybe get some funds  :p

A lot of the other projects are still active, the writing is off and on.  I love to write but my mind has been busy working on these game ideas.  The 2D one is more a sort of time management one then an adventure type one.  The one for the unreal engine is an adventure style one.  I wish it was easier, if we had gotten funding one would be done by now.  But maybe it is good it didn't happen since it sparked "S'Happens" and "Saltlikka" the rpgmaker game idea that were not a part of my Bride of Sorrows series...

I hope you are doing what you love and working toward your dreams!  So much crazy is happening in the world that we creative types need to help counter the crazy with interesting things!
