I am enjoying my new Sony A7S ii camera!!  I think we will be taking off with it soon!  got the feel for the camera now and will begin doing more art shots!

I like playing with them in Photoshop:

I was thinking it is such a pretty spot but so much goose poop around that it is hard to get the models to agree to pose like I want.  But got a few good shots.    (I am growing out a haircut, so my hair looks a bit goofy :p  )

Funny Dream…

Funny Dream…

Oh man, been playing a game called "Fallout Shelter" and have a love/hate relationship with it.  It is fun to play but gets frustrating at times!!

But realized I am playing it too much since I dreamed it last night!

Man, it was so real though!  I was there at an abandoned building and instead of a weapon all I had to do was tap the screen.  So weird mix of dream/game!  But the prize was a massive amount of special effects materials!  I had to try!  If I could win this, man, imagine what we could do!!  Could make the werewolves!!  the transformation hand!!  Just needed to win this game!!

It was so real, each room, each floor!!  It would get that sparkle to click on just like the game, lol!!  I was so thrilled and so tired by the time I reached the last floor to clear!  But I did it and was so happy as I saw the prizes I won until I realized it was a dream and woke up!

But for a few moments, that crazy happiness at having no worries about how to make the film!! 

We are doing pretty good, practicing techniques and getting pretty good!

Here we are trying to make a face cast, we ordered the alginate / face casting kit but it won't be here for awhile so decided to try using the old fashioned way with just the strips.  It will make at least one for us so we decided to go for it.  I guess it seems to be taking forever to get the materials.  But it is drying now and tomorrow it should be dry enough to pour in the plaster!  

I am also practicing making the wolf fur... we plan to order the crepe wool this coming week but are practicing with some filling material that is nice and fluffy to see how we should go about it…  

It is a lot of fun!  I always picture how it will be once we get the set up we want!  We will work our way there!  It is good to learn using what you have at hand since you may discover something incredible!c

Photography /Model Mayhem

I am really enjoying learning the camera!  I am getting better at it and it is so good it is hard to take a bad picture!!

I put out a casting call on Model Mayhem for models looking to build a portfolio of outdoor shots at local parks.  I want to practice and need a good portfolio myself, so it seems smart to find models needing pics too!

Lol, though, I had planned the first one at the park behind the Loussac library and am glad we did a test run!  They put up some sort of blue tarp all around.  I guess people were crowding too close to the birds or something, but it ruins the shots and there is also a massive amount of bird poop everywhere!  

I love trees and nature almost as much as portraits!  Nature is the studio instead of a room somewhere, makes it seem so magical that it is so awesome!

Even something as simple as tree bark…

Teaching lies as  "history"

It is a never ending battle, the fight to say we exist!  Every moment of every day they work to erase us, erase our history, erase our rights!

They created "corporations" instead of reservations to easier steal the land, they learned something after all the years stealing the lands of this hemisphere.  Now imagine you grew up without electricity, living in harmony with nature as a chosen way of life.  

Remember we traded with Asia so knew of cities, etc. and chose this way of life!

It makes me think of those martial art movies where they are in search of peace away from people sort of thing, they were looking for us!  hehe!

But seriously, it is a constant nonstop battle to stop the damage they do!  And by "they" yes I do mean the war criminals Russians, Americans and Europeans after our resources!!    

The earliest known human occupation of the Aleutian Islands region dates to about 9,000 years ago. Because archaeological sites of this age have been found only in the eastern Aleutians, it is clear that the first movement into the island chain occurred from the Alaska Peninsula westward. The first people who moved into the region were the descendants of the first migrants from Siberian into Alaska, who crossed the Ice Age land connection between the two hemispheres, the Bering Land Bridge, which existed until about 12,000 years ago.

Why are they trying to teach us we do not come from here?  So our children grow up thinking we do not actually have rights since we came from somewhere else…

Please send letters, phone calls, emails, etc. to tell them to not teach this to our children!  Decide whether you are a war criminal yourself or merely caught in the same trap as us!  Remember the only way they can keep their power is to keep you afraid of us, keep you from seeing us as people!  I will change that with my films!  It is sci fi version, loosely based on my culture but it is a start…  It is so important that we not be allowed to be erased!  

Why should you care so much for us when it is happening all over the world?  Because my people can set the new precedent!  Attu tribe can change the world!  They tried to steal our lands while we were American prisoners of war!  They stole our island and refused to let us back saying we were too weak but in reality they wanted it for themselves!  

Now they turned it into a national park to prevent us from ever getting it back.  

It was a mistake on their part, too much thinking they are Gods!!  Now when we get it back, it sets the precedent that even as a national park, the indigenous will get their land back!  Imagine how much destruction will stop once we gain control of the lands again!!  

Remember The Pledge from the other day, not to live in fear and anger, but to create our dreams together!!   Just taking the time to read this helps!

No, I did not win, I doubt I came close to top 5 as I am new at this, but it was so fun!  I thought I might have a shot at "Best Concept" since I thought that might be less on technique as idea  :p

I so wish they would have listed all the videos so I could show mine to everyone!  If (when) I get money someday I will buy the licenses so I can show it, (and be horrified at how bad it is!!)  but today I feel such pride in it!  It was a good learning experience and I do not regret trying!  

Oh man, there is so much to learn and we do that by practicing!  I expect to begin making the videos I planned ages ago probably this coming week to start.  We are planning a few scenes but those might take us a bit to get filmed and completed!!  

Our main problem is one of space!  We will get it figured out though and begin filming the scenes I talked of all this last year!  I really want to get started and do some scenes of the Soulless doll one!  I think that will be a good learning experience as I plan it as short and behind the scenes working together.  I think I can pull it off!  

Anyway, Congrats to all the winners, they were excellent and you deserve it!!!  To the rest of us, maybe they will create a special area we can share and talk about ours!

When the scene changes...

When the scene changes...

I finally have all the pieces for the short film but...

lol, it has been so long since I planned it that the room has changed.  I will make a video later but right now I am still deciding how to do this.  

When I first thought of it we had our couches in a sort of movie house style with one behind the other.  It was going to be a "behind the scenes" scene of the closet door slowing opening as I sat her typing and I am nervous but not scared...  then next time I look up and over the doll is on the back of the far couch facing me...  I jump up scaring my daughter who was cleaning out the closet...  The scene is meant to show how "jumpy" I am getting because of the doll.  

We redecorate often but we moved the other couch out of this room and aded a black filing cabinet that would work.  It has been about a year and now there is a stationery bike there…   

So wondering do I rearrange the room or rewrite the scene??

Still have not decided yet for this instance.  I think I would recreate the "set" in most cases, but so enjoying the bike!  I figure it won't take us more then 2 days to get it lit correctly and filmed so we can rearrange it for now.  So when we get ready to film it we can rearrange everything back to the "set" for the short!

I am just excited everything is finally here!  We are wising we had a dozen more lenses but other then that we are good  :p

So, sorry it is taking so long for the next installment and it will be soon, but this time soon means days not months!!

We pledge not to be controlled by fear, but instead by our dreams.

While I am indigenous and believe the problems we face will be solved when it becomes clear that America stands 100% with us instead of the other way around, I support the movement!!  People always act like you are being rude or crazy to bring it up, but it is important...The whole western system is built on blood and lies, murder, rape and theft...  there is no honor in it no matter how much they pretend there could be "only if..." whatever...  So there is no point in trying to "fix" something that is horribly misshapen right from the start!  

People try to act as if it takes something away from "the movement" to mention indigenous, acting as if we are trying to divide everyone...  but it is the opposite actually...  It is not either / or as westerners would have us believe...  We all matter and it is indigenous lands AND we stand united with Black Lives Matter!!  (and that scares "the dreaded them" that they can't divide us!!)  

So when you see an indigenous person bringing up "native" issues it is not an attempt to divide the country, but to show the solution!!  So thank them for bringing it up instead of saying "shut up, this is their moment" or whatever...  There is a reason we politely cough to bring attention to ourselves like this...  

Do I believe you should follow the link and take the pledge?  Yes, of course!  We do need to show support!  When anyone is suffering it is important to send your love and thoughts to them!!  There is so much pain and suffering in the world, that can end when we truly unite!  sending you all hugs and love, this terror is momentary and will pass and what will remain is our love!!

How I see "the Pledge"...   
togetherness is 100% necessary!  that does not mean we need to all look alike, think alike, sound alike, etc.  We are all allowed to be ourselves and that is the true definition of togetherness!!
Thinking and Actions guided by love - too often we have a goal in mind and concentrate on that, which is fine, but we can not ignore what is happening around us!  It is ok to get angry when someone needlessly dies, but do not let that anger guide you!  The pledge means that we will try to stop and fill our minds and hearts with love while deciding what to do next!  While anger and hate can feel so powerful, they are momentary and do not last while love does last and linger...
Courage and Power -these are strong words, but positive words!  courage does not mean go pick a fight, it means  don't turn away when a fight is happening.  Even if we can not stop the fight by ourselves when enough gather together, it will happen and that is what "power" is!  
No fear but Dreams-  this I believe 100%...  Have the faith that good is happening all around and that your dreams can come true!  some days reading the news it seems impossible to imagine but little by little, we change the  tide and a wave of love and goodness will come to us all!


The pledge is beautiful and "doable" today!

It seems to be taking forever!  It says anytime until end of day here to be delivered but at least it is on the way!  I am excited.  I will probably do a casting call to see if there are any local models interested in working for the experience...

 I think I got spoiled when my last package arrived first thing in the morning!  Now the clock ticks ever so slowly, each tick seeming to slow time itself down, each tock slowing the mind and body too...  Like a giant wave forming just off the coast, you know it is coming, it is inevitable... seeming to not grow but ever expanding, subtle and cunning...  using the tide to hide it's intent.   It has done this before!  

And I, in my impatience, am too trusting to move away from the window, knowing the second I do something will happen.  Maybe the wind blew off a number from the side of my house and the mail ends up going to the next door neighbors, pleased to get such a sweet gift from their new neighbor...  

Or, more likely, I will sit here waiting and not see the little paper they left when I was in the bathroom and they tried to deliver...

Or, it will be their last delivery since it is about 50 pounds I believe...  saving it to the end, big heavy thing that it is...

heheh, I am bored I guess...  So many plans can now actually happen!  Takes my breath away thinking of it all!  So much to do!!  The fun is yet to come!  All this impatience and worry will melt away as I tear the package open and plug in my new lights to test them out finally!  professional lighting, yeah!  Maybe I will apply for that school picture taker job now that they are here.... heheheheh

Anyway, soon!  I am always saying that but now 'soon' actually means very soon and not some day!

Too Excited to sleep...

Too Excited to sleep...


I am trying to install the LightRoom CC thingy while everyone is asleep and hopefully the wifi can go fast!  I am so excited though!  It is so amazing to me that I am finally able to start filming!  It felt like it would never happen! 

Do you ever feel like you are waiting for an eternity?  This was how long the wait felt!  I think over a year now since I had this idea and began trying to raise funds...

I forgot I had some pics of some flowers too...   I will upload them a bit later since some came out so pretty!

It is strange how you have to keep the internet active or it times out!  I can not understand why they do not count the download itself as "active"...  so weird!  So switching between this and a browser game to keep it active so it does not pause!  

I have so many plans for when the lights arrive!! We plan to buy a tripod tomorrow from Best Buy, catch the 4th of July sale...  The lights are actually in town but won't be delivered until Wednesday...  I tried to go pick them up on Saturday but they said they are closed and it would take a day to process my request so the earliest I could actually pick it up would be Wednesday...  So told them to go ahead and deliver it then...  :p  

Lol, so much to do, I had better make a list:

• create youtube channel video
• create Patreon intro video
• create behind the scenes for Soulless
• finish typing script for low budget horror movie
• storyboard S'happens
• do all the bits n bobs needed before shooting
• get cast assembled
• get location fees and stuff done
• begin filming!

heheh, I still can not believe it is finally here!  Huge Unangan Goddess blessings to my film angels!  This would not be possible without you!  Your faith in me means the world to me and I will not let you down!
