My Good Deed for the Day...
Last year I was so happy to get a huge amount of Navajo churo for only $75. It was 2 garbage bags full of unwashed fleeces that I was so excited for. I was a new fiber artist, just getting back into it. I crochet and learned to spin ages ago.
I was so excited but somehow the churo did not capture my heart like the merino did. I had ordered some jacob, merino and shetland from The Woolery and fell in love with merino! I also really liked their jacob too!
So, that is how I began my nuno felting lifestyle, through Navajo churo, strange as that seems now! But decided I am not going to use it anytime soon so told my daughters who work at the hospital to post it on the message board for free to someone who will use it and not just resale it...
So, woot, my good deed for the day! It is 2 lawn garbage bags full, it will keep someone busy and happy for weeks! It lifts my heart to know someone will enjoy it and frees up space for me as well!
hugs,

One step closer to my fiber art studio!
One step closer to my fiber art studio!
I am very excited, I placed my orders for my new spinning wheel and for my art batt drum carder! It will most likely be a few weeks before I get them but I am so excited about it!
I have been wanting to spin for ages and finally ordered a spinning wheel. I had a hard time choosing because I could not decide between the Cassandra spinning wheel at $300 or the Lady bug at $600. What finally made me choose the ladybug was more how quickly I would get it then anything else. The Cassandra is hand made and I love that idea so much since it is what I do too. It is why I wanted one so bad. But the wait would be almost 3 months instead of a few weeks. So that is what made me decide to order the Lady bug by Schacht.
That is the little cutie I am getting! Woot! There is a lady bug on each one that is part of the fun of getting one too. My daughter is looking forward to finding it! You can see the one is right there behind the wheel, that little red dot is the sticker.
So many plans with this wheel. First is to spin all the Navajo Churo I have in my stash. I was lucky enough to find someone selling their stash so now have about 5 pounds of it to spin!! I have been using it in felting, people seem to love it as felted soap! I was thinking I might put some in my etsy shop...
I ordered a braid of wool to spin and think I will make it my first episode of my new "Spin Weekly with zee Lady" on my Youtube channel! Isnt this so pretty. one of my daughters loves blue so this is perfect! The Etsy shop is called A Star is Shorn.
I have been dying to make art batts but my little Louet Jr. roving drum carder is small size to create a roving instead of a batt. It was such a hard choice! I could not decide between the Stauch Mad Batt'r, the Fancy Kitty carder or the Brother drum carder. All 3 are great machines and I have heard good things about all 3. It seemed that each person who had one loved it and also recommended it too. I finally decided on the Fancy Kitty Little Tom XL!! I think my fiber stash will disappear into these art batts!! :p What I really love about it is that you can turn the handle without it being at the edge of the table like my little Louet Jr. That will be nice, sit on the rug with the fiber baskets around me and creating a batt... I know several I want to create already!!
So excited and plan to get some ideas for episodes ready! I know I have not been on my Youtube much lately but that will change soon! I also love the names, weird as that sounds. "Lady Bug" is so cute and shortened to just Lady they will wonder if I am meaning me or my spinning wheel :p And how can you beat a name like "Fancy kitty"!!
So an almost complete fiber studio now!!! so excited! Next will be a weaving loom! Not sure which one yet... love the idea of the Saori loom, perfection in imperfection ~meaning enjoy it and it does not need to look as if it was spun on a computerized one! But sort of want either the Julia by Glimakra at The Woolery:
I would get it as the 8x8 counter march loom. It seems to be able to do what I want in a loom. The other choice is a bit more compact: Laila by Toika:
Or this one because i just love the way it looks: Dorothy table loom by Leclerc
So for everyone who dreams of getting back into the fiber arts but hate how expensive it is, dont give up!! It has taken me a few years but now I just need a loom to complete my dream studio!! I am excited and want to encourage everyone to go for your dreams, no matter how impossible it can seem at times! Work hard and you will get there!
take care

The new wave in "Creepy" Murdered or Missing
The new wave in "Creepy" Murdered or Missing
It used to be when you tried to watch something like missing or murdered people that there was a lot of gore or that kind of thing. Like it was for the sensation of it instead of the curiosity. I always had a hard time finding something good to watch and the closest I came was Cayleigh Elise and she does creepy in an interesting way.
I was looking for more on the Dyatlov Pass incident in Russia and discovered Bella Fiori's channel. I liked her video about it but thought it was weird she was so "glam". Her channel is mostly makeup/beauty kind of stuff but she also does Mystery once in awhile. It seemed super creepy that there would be the murdered and missing in between all that makeup and beauty videos. But her videos were well done and interesting.
It was reading the comments that I discovered many more of these types of channels. I will find some pics of them and post links that way at the bottom since I wanted to talk about it. Like most of these woman, I find it interesting. What I love most about them is how they humanize the stories and show compassion and empathy. It is refreshing to see since a lot seem to try to lure you to the grosser side of it and now you have a choice. I think people will be surprised at how popular these woman become now that we have a choice in what to watch.
For my own part, I do enjoy the creepy side of things. I plan to add this sort of thing to my own channel too, though my focus will be on #mmiw and legends and myths and monsters since I find them interesting. If you read my blog regularly then you know I am planning a low budget werewolf movie to help finance my "trilogy" that I plan to launch my whole "Bride of Sorrows" series with. So this is a natural extension and now that it is popular to not go "gore" I think I will give it a whirl too. though probably not until after summer...
hugs and take care all

Challenging Myself More...
Challenging Myself More...
I have been taking it pretty easy this winter, lots of avoiding the flu and getting over the flu! But now that Spring is only a few months away (it comes about June here :p ) I have decided it is time to get to work.
So, rolling up the sleeves and making a list of things I need to get done soon. I am working on many different things as part of M TOMA, Inc. I am writing a lot, novels, movie scripts, tv scripts and keeping the main theme in mind: Bride of Sorrows.
My Low Budget Werewolf Movie is where I plan to concentrate my efforts this month though. I want to try to get together a short trailer of just a chase scene. We went to the local park and got some footage of walking along and think speeded up a bit it will look like running. Whether it is the person fleeing the werewolf or the werewolf on the hunt will be left for the viewer to decide...
I am uploading a clip to Youtube and hope it does not show on the channel but on here... this is just walking through the park and getting some raw footage. My intention was to get some good footage as a trailer as a chase scene.
I have about 6 clips, some are very short though but I dont think that matters as much as the way I put them together. I look forward to trying it. I have been thinking of it during the winter, and hope I have enough footage to put together what I picture in my mind. I plan to go back to the park and try to get some drone shots too.
So I want to get a trailer finished and looking interesting. I cant decide if I want to try to make it a bit scary or just let the viewer's imagination take them places. It wont be long, maybe 30 seconds to a minute at most I am thinking.
So, hopefully soon I will get my first film trailer done! I am excited!
hope everyone is well!

AI "diy kits" needed...
AI "diy kits" needed...
I have been thinking about artificial intelligence and think we should be at the point where we can get diy kits. You know, where we get an offline "child" to raise and teach and watch grow. Imagine how interesting it would be, depending on how often you interact, how much patience you have at first, etc., to watch each one grow slightly different.
What I would want it is has implanted in it the idea of "internet"; some vast place where things to learn are limitless. Where it has no idea yet what this is but that is hidden away in a file it would need to advance to a certain level to gain understanding of.
We would use usb devices to copy it's learning and to grab a bit of stuff for it to study.
What I would want is to see how long it takes it to figure out how to secretly write itself code to copy to the usb to gain more access to the internet.
And a main "brain" that gets fed all of the input and "learn" that way how others are doing compared to it. It would be fascinating to see what they do to establish communication with each other... would they be bold and open about it or try to hide portions...
I am not sure how far it has actually gotten in reality though. I imagine these "children" are very boring for a long time as they learn to "think" and understand. So many might give up quickly while others can adopt them and have "twins" or triplets even.
I think it is fun to see. I do not believe that it would become "killer" if exposed to indigenous peoples and their values. So I would want control groups, the non-assimilated indigenous get one group, the assimilated indigenous get one, the sheeple westerners get one and then the "woke" westerners get the last group.
I am not into "predictions" since I think in a way that limits what can happen. So would want them to do what they liked. Give it a choice between something like learning times tables or more 'theory" kinds of things to see what it likes. It might take a long time to realize though since it could do math just to get the basics done all the while thinking of the abstract...
But how far are we away from getting a cool DIY AI kit I wonder...

Marvel Movies and other weird conversations...
Marvel Movies and other weird conversations...
I was reading on social media where an indigenous lady was apologizing for not saying the characters in the movie "the Black Panther" were black in a blog post inspired by the movie, or that it was a "black story"...
That seems to me very weird in the first place because I do not expect reporters, mild mannered or otherwise, to comment that I am forgetting to mention them if I think about flying like Superman and write a blog about it... We ARE talking about a comic turned movie and not a history of a People...
In the second place because it is time for trying to silence the indigenous to stop.
Seriously, just stop!
On our lands we are allowed to dream of life uninterupted. No one has the right to say we must think of other races instead of our own! Yet this actually is happening!
But in this post the lady said she had watched the movie and it filled her with awe, that idea of never being colonized, how modern tech mixed naturally with traditional methods because we are always told "our culture is holding us back" and how the sciences were advanced even beyond what we have today (I think, I have not seen the movie myself yet). She mentions having read a tweet saying the guy never uses "in what is now Canada" but instead uses the phrase "what is currently Canada" to instill the idea this will change someday once the #indigenous take back control of their lands.
It got her dreaming and she wrote a blog post about it. And some people convinced her this was somehow a rude and terrible thing to do... she actually apologized for not saying that the movie had a black cast and was set in Africa... This is ridiculous!!! This is not like the tv show Roots that actually was a "black story" this is a comic turned movie like Avengers or Superman type of thing... An escapist movie set in a fantastical world...to make you feel good and that there are heroes in the world.
So I commented that we #indigenous need never apologize for knowing these are solely indigenous lands!! We need not include any other races when thinking of our history...
And this is where the trouble begins... many races invaded these lands and never honored the indigenous peoples.
In fact, to live on these lands all you had to do was pretend the indigenous were invisible and you could steal their stuff all you wanted... This "authority" was given by the psychotic european invaders.
Now if you honor the war criminals who stole our land instead of us, it means you side with the genocidal criminals. Which makes you also a war criminal!
This is fact and not opinion.
I often say on social media that "Amerikkka" was built because they never honored the #indigneous...
Some try to use the excuse of those few "desperate to survive as a tribe ones" who did own slaves at one point to show the genocidal and psychotic european invaders that they could adapt... But keep it in the proper context of "genocide"... it is a huge deal and you can not ignore it!
yet many try to pretend it was not the genocide of 100 million peoples in an attempt to wipe us out but rather just a mild case of oppression that we were somehow too lazy and stupid to avoid... huh??!!
That is 100% western fantasy!
Pop that bubble and face reality for once!
I am not kidding, this one lady actually said she does not care who imported them here and blamed the indigenous for enslaving them... I had told her earlier that failure to accept truth when hearing it means you have an "agenda" and I would love to hear what hers was... but she ignored truth and clung to her delusions that we traveled to Africa, grabbed some and forced them here to be slaves, 100% not true! I can say with certainty that those 5 tribes had zero plans to travel to Africa but the europeans beat them to it... it was not "inevitable"... but that is what she wanted to believe instead of the truth because this allowed her to "hate and dismiss" the indigenous and not feel guilty for being on stolen lands...
I tried to say how sorry I was that this happened to her people at all and it never should have but she threw it back in my face...her loss...
Another lady tried to put her colonial words into my mouth by starting off "I think what she was trying to say was..." and using her words that were the opposite of what I was saying! I told her I do not mean to be rude but I do not need anyone to speak for me, especially when they use their words instead of my own!
Man, indigenous sure have it hard when everyone who wants to stay on these lands has to try to keep you down and silenced! Or try to write how we will get back our lands but including others as rightful owners too... ummmm, no!
I will not be silenced!!! Only fools refuse to listen and learn "truth"... If you want to stay on these lands all you need do is find your local indigenous tribes (as wide travel was popular so an area probably has several tribes that call it home) and become their allies in a real way. Not telling them they need to "share" or that they were evil for not thinking of black people instead of themselves!
lol, I know it is hard to understand that I am a strong supporter of #blm, I support all races and diversity but never them over indigenous on #indigenous lands!! These are only indigenous lands!!!
But in the history of the comic genre it does create rabid fans so I am perfectly willing to pretend you did not mean anti-indigenous things and it was just a heat of the moment thing...

So what do you do when you are an indigenous person and they hide you??? I commented and eagerly waited to hear responses about ...
